FACILITATOR TO DELIVER A PROGRAMME TO OLDER PEOPLE LIVING IN THE
AVONDHU BLACKWATER PARTNERSHIP CLG AREA.
BACKGROUND: Avondhu Blackwater Partnership CLG is the integrated
LEADER Partnership Company for North County Cork. The objectives of
the organisation include community animation, project facilitation,
project administration, training and community integration within the
remit of various funding programmes implemented.
Avondhu Blackwater Partnership CLG are seeking proposals from
facilitators for a support programme for older people. The Programme
is co-ordinated by The Local Development Company, funded under their
SICAP (Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme) budget. THE
PROGRAMME WILL BE DELIVERED IN THE AVONDHU BLACKWATER PARTNERSHIP
CATCHMENT AREA.
PROJECT PURPOSE: The development of this programme is in response to
the negative affects of the pandemic experienced by some of the most
vulnerable members of our society, in this case older people. Our

support, in particular those most vulnerable due to geographical
isolation, personal and health determinants. There will be a
particular focus on the provision of soft supports, including IT based
as well as social in the form of facilitating and recording the
documentation of life stories. In addition a training / craft element
will be built into the programme.
